Dawn Masterson, LPC-A

Telehealth Team (She/Her)

As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA), I believe therapy should be a place where you feel accepted, understood, and empowered to show up exactly as you are. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that every person has unique strengths, even when life's challenges make them difficult to see. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply looking to understand yourself more deeply, I strive to create a space where you can explore your experiences without judgment and move toward a life that feels more meaningful and authentic.

I am especially passionate about working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community and supporting individuals as they explore their identities, relationships, and experiences of sexuality and romantic orientation, including aro and ace identities. I enjoy helping people navigate life transitions related to relationships, career changes, identity development, and the impact of systemic barriers. My work is grounded in social justice and recognizes how culture, community, and lived experiences shape our mental health. I also enjoy supporting individuals living with ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, substance use and other addictive behaviors, as well as those managing chronic pain by incorporating mindfulness practices that help interrupt the cycle between pain, stress, and emotional distress.

My therapeutic approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices. Together, these approaches help us understand unhelpful thought patterns, develop greater psychological flexibility, and build practical skills for responding to life's challenges with intention rather than reacting on autopilot. Rather than focusing on "fixing" who you are, I believe therapy is about helping you reconnect with your values, strengthen your resilience, and create a life that reflects what matters most to you. Wherever you are in your journey, I would be honored to walk alongside you as you move toward healing, growth, and lasting change.
